Mission Statement

SHRM-LI exists to advance the HR profession by developing and advancing the HR Professional.

About Us or Our Purpose:

As the Voice of HR on Long Island, SHRM-LI provides:

  • cutting edge foundational and experiential development through educational programs delivered by subject matter experts and recognized leaders and researchers
  • late breaking information on HR’s dynamic legal landscape
  • contemporary tools and resources in a broad variety of HR and Business topics so that our members can build a diverse and thorough inventory of contemporary knowledge and competencies that will help their organizations grow and prosper
  • a diverse, inclusive, and visible volunteer leadership that promotes networking and professional development resources for a Membership base of ~1,300 professional, general, and associate Members.

SHRM-LI is governed by an Executive Board and propelled by an impressive group of forward-thinking and committed individuals that serve as Volunteer Chapter Leaders and Volunteer Committee Members.

Why volunteer?

By becoming a SHRM-LI Volunteer you will become a valuable member of a community that wants to share their knowledge and experience to help our Members advance in their profession.  In so doing, you will also grow and learn, and summon talents and ideas that will conversely help you advance in your own profession.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the President of SHRM-LI at PRESIDENT@SHRMLI.ORG.
