Like myself, I know that many of you are having to re-think your holiday plans to ensure the health and safety of your families. Each of us are trying to decide how to gather with our loved ones both near and far. Finding a way to express what you are most thankful for has always been an important part of my family’s celebration. As we gather around the table, each of us would take a moment to state what we have been grateful for throughout the year.
This year, for me, it has been a little bit difficult in finding that silver lining, but then I think back to a childhood memory of watching “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and recall Charlie Brown asking “What if today we were just grateful for everything?”
I am thankful for the SHRM-LI community who has supported one another, for our Annual Corporate Sponsors and Business Directory Supporters for all that they do to help SHRM-LI in providing solutions to our Members and supporting the HR community on Long Island.
I am thankful for all of SHRM-LI’s Volunteer Chapter Leaders and Committee Members who give of themselves throughout the year.
I am thankful for our members who continue to rise to the challenges that each of them has faced; as well as view these challenges as opportunities.
I am thankful that this year has shown how people can adapt and work together.
In closing, I wish each of you a Thanksgiving filled with abundance and bright moments, and memories filled with joy and happiness.
