The mission of the Industry Liaison Group “ILG” – Long Island Chapter is to generate proactive programs that will further your company’s affirmative action, equal opportunity and diversity objectives. In addition provide you a forum to discuss regulatory initiatives, exchange/dissemination information, and training relative to affirmative action concepts, regulatory compliance and diversity issues within the Long Island Business Community.
Membership is open to all companies with operations based on the geographic scope of Nassau and Suffolk Counties and who implement or voluntarily maintain an Affirmative Action Program as required by Government Contracts.
The ILG meetings are held quarterly. Meetings start with a legal update from local Employment Attorneys and other organizations focused on assisting our members to meet the regulations mandated by the OFCCP and EEOC. During our meetings members have the opportunity to discuss their successes and share experience of audits and outreach activities. Guest Speakers are invited to make presentations include representatives from the OFCCP, EEOC leaders of various agencies and vendors that prove to be valuable resources to our members.
